Hip Hop

For over 50 years hip hop has opened up a whole new world of creative expression through music, art and DANCE!  Originating in Bronx New York in the 80s  hip hop dance started with break dancing and has evolved into a freestyle genre of dance with the foundations of moving your body to particular sounds in music with the bass or the drums or even the lyrics. Th foundations of Hip Hop is founded in break dancing, pop locking and freestyle. No matter where your dance journey has started or where your dance journey stands now, hip hop dance is for anyone and everyone. This style of dance will help you build the confidence within your own body to be free to move and grove how you want to. Hip Hop brings all walks of life together to let go and just be yourself through movement!

Faculty placement is required for all students prior to enrollment. Decisions of placement depend on a student’s physical/emotional maturity as well as skill level, regardless of age ranges given below. Students in Intro to Hip-Hop and Hip-Hop 1 must be the appropriate age by August 5, 2024.

  • Thursdays 4:30pm-5:30pm

Upper School Hip-Hop

  • Thursdays 6:30pm-7:30pm

  • Mondays 7:30pm-8:30pm

    OR

  • Thursdays 7:30pm-8:30pm

Tuition & Fees

Fellowship School of Creative Arts is committed to keeping tuition and fees as reasonable as possible.  Tuition & Fees listed here are for the 2024-2025 school year session only. Tuition for the 2024-25 season is 38 weeks (August 5-June 1).

Dress Code

A dancer’s attire greatly determines the attitude toward her/his class work. Therefore, we require that the standard of appropriate neatness be observed at all times.
